Liebster Blog Award - A compliment

Whatever comes your way each day, acknowledge it and  trust that everything has a reason, even a simple recognition...

I love being recognized. Perhaps you too. well, who doesn't? It is uplifting isn't it?

Life In Love's Journey

It is such an honor  to be chosen for the Liebster Blog Award! Ms. Cecille Tuazon of Filipinay WeeBlether Blogthank you so much for the nomination! Nakakataba kaya ng Puso, in fact haba ng hair ng lola *wink.. I acknowledge and value all forms of awards, either big or small, because it is a recognition from those who find us worthy and capable. More so, it adds my confidence and self worth as a blogger.

I wonder in the first place of what's this Liebster blog award all about. Later on, I was able to find it out and  it brings inspiration. I felt privilege, knowing there are people simply recognizing my being me :) I love the key word  of this award which is "favorite", which means "Liebster" in German. So when we say "favorite", expect some positive adjectives such as sweetest, kindest, loveliest, pleasant, even best valued and a lot more.. wheew Cecille, which among those adjectives is me? kidding :)

We live life by the rules.
We work hard to please ourselves and others.
We mingle with people or friends by our character..
recognizing them, hoping to know each one by the heart!

Letting others know the real "me" or the other side of "me"  may seems so daunting, but then, since we have to follow some rules, I have to mention few facts about me here (although I have mentioned it in some of my previous posts), this time, it's quite different. Seems like I need to loosen up so you guys could unwrap me.. hurrah!! good luck to me then :)

Here we go: The eleven (11) random facts about me...

1.  I was, and still am a "happy go lucky" person. I do what pleases me. I live by the quote: "Do what you love, love what you do". I exercise my own freedom for as long as the freedom I have won't hurt others.

2. I'm a bit sensitive kind -not on negative side- but in the sense that I can empathize how others feel. I believe the golden rule "Do unto others of what you want others do unto you". I'm more sensitive when it comes to my family, You might hurt me, but never do that to my family, else I gonna peel you off (opps lol, I don't mean to scare you!). I just love my family so much.

3. When silence speak, I attentively listen. It is through silence that I could fully tuned in the station of God. The same silence where I can hear what my heart desires. This is one reason of why I usually speak with a heart. I believe when I speak with my heart, your heart listens hmm yaayyy! :)

4. I dislike people who are wearing the facade of hypocrisy. I'm not perfect, I often commit mistakes but I'm not ashamed to admit how imperfect I am. Hypocrisy on the other hand is next to dishonesty which is intolerable.  so as much as  possible refrain from being hypocrite. It won't do us any good. It increases disloyal people around us.

5.  As we go on journeying in this jungle bereft of life, sometimes I wear my mask to protect me, so don't be deceived by what your eyes can see. Who knows it wasn't me.. (are you getting me?)

6.  I love sunrise and sunset. Sunrise for me means hope, and sunset means promises. Both remind me that after darkness in every journey, there is light beyond. So I keep  holding on to that promise and hope.

7. I am a survivor. I was one of the flash flood survivors during that tragic event in the Philippines that killed 8,000 people in less than 15 minutes. From those sad experiences,  I learned a lot.  Life has taught me many lessons in the hard ways, and I'm happy for I was able to survive.

8. I value life much. I value my friends, I value everything that are valuable. I value every moment, whatever it is, I can easily fit in, even when you try to joke me around,  dare me, I gonna pull your leg as well *wink.

9. About hobbies, I love writing, dancing, singing, motorbiking. I stroll around at the riverside, or at the beach, or even at the mountainside, watching sunset while enjoying the green view and the gentle breeze of the wind. Mostly, this is the kind of moment wherein I love to spend with a friend or someone special hmm. Oohh I love surfing as well, internet surfing in the meantime lolzz.. coz up to now, it is my desire that someday, someone would teach me about wave surfing *wink again* j/k.

10. When it comes to food, I can eat anything for as long as no poison in it :) I can eat cultured snakes (lol is there any cultured snake?) or any exotic foods like insects or frogs,  hmm lol you might say I'm kidding :) In most cases, I love filipino dishes, with more vegetables and sea foods. I eat a lot. Never tried diet, not even once.  Mom said I have a slender bone structure so no need for diet (I guess mom was right, oh well, for me mom is always right :). If I have less or more food intake, there is no difference.

11. I love to speak so often, discuss anything more and share good things..but since I am only limited up to 11 facts about me, I have to end up here sharing to you this words:

At this point, I need to take a break. I'll be back with more revelations about me *wink... Great day to you guys, looking forward to getting to know you too :) ciaoo!!

The Race is On

Opening up my fb page, I saw this pic of cutie and adorable puppies at my homepage (Thanks to Edwin Antonio for posting, hope you don’t mind me using your pic here)

Courtesy pic of Edwin Antonio Photography

Simply adorable!

The innocent little doggies got my attention. You might ask: “What’s new in this kind of pic that arouses viewer's interest ? It is but ordinary, simple and common pic on the net with good caption!”  hmm well, could it be from the idea that this pic was taken live by a great photographer? bah,    why not?!! but deep within I know there is something more than that.

I took  another glance, can’t help but smile at the little innocent puppies , and finally, my eyes got stuck on the caption itself.  Right there and then, I understand the magic it brings!

Yes, it’s magic! The picture and the caption brings magic.
The scenario is a reflection of how innocent people are in the beginning. We live life in accordance with our simple desires. We are like innocent puppies, running with our everyday errands, playing and enjoying what life has given us, not quite familiar that we are on a race with our friends, buddies, and family, dealing relationships or affairs, works, hobbies, etc.  It’s like “do what you love, and love what you do". It creates a moment that brings smile to our face and a vibration to our heart each time we experience or even remember it.

With much enjoyment, we almost forget about the journey.  We almost forget that life is a RACE, that it's quite a game. We valued much about life, we give importance on our needs, not knowing that everything we do and dreamt of.. is just part of the game.  We are not quite aware that the people we mingle everyday plays each own part to win this game called “Life”. For doggies, they race towards getting the bone... for us, we race towards the mountain peak, where the treasure called "life" is hidden. The search is on, the prospects are hopeful. Every  life's journey is part of the game. We are all players, creating our own rules in reaching the top.

The race is on... run towards the goal. Use all the necessary techniques to win.

" Run the first two-thirds of the race with your head
and the last third with your heart."

Leave or Live the Moment

"Take a plunge in the ocean of sadness,  for you to understand happiness and appreciate life moment by moment..." ~Leony~

Life is said to be a journey..
We have to live it moment by moment.

CHERISH IT!

Cherished moments are those times that bring a smile to our face or tears in our eyes.
They are special and remarkable.
They are treasures.

We treasure every moment because they recall the memory of our loved ones - family and friends who'd been part of us and made our journey worthwhile.

They were part of the lessons we learned day by day and each piece of it has a special room in our precious heart.

They are not meant to be concealed or buried.

They are to be relived, to be experienced again and again..
.."for they are influencial source of strength, guidance, inspiration, and hope as we journey on" (Fr. Jerry Orbus).

Normally, we only tend to reminisce the happy moments, setting aside  those sad ones., and most likely many of us try to erase those that refreshes the pain...

Only few realizes that everything happens for a reason... and there is hope beyond the horizon.

"I've been too long in the wind,
too long in the rain.."

This  line from a song "Loving Arms" by Dixies has got my attention while I was  clicking on you tube  during my lonesome moment.

There was a flashback of the unforgettable...
I saw myself in the ocean of sadness remembering the person behind that song..

While listening to it, I become too emotional for it reminds me how life has treated me 'till this very day. It was my lonesome moment, and an outburst of emotion has got me almost fainted.

We have our own share of unforgettable moments and we have our different ways of dealing with it.

Either we keep it or share it, the bottom line is ...
those moments are meant to be cherished.

I thank God that during those moments of sadness,

when I was so down and tired in my journey,
He has given me a helping hand,
in a form of a stranger... a friend.

A friend who tries to listen instead of judging.

A stranger, whom I considered my light in shining armour.
It was a moment, a treasured moment... with a treasured friend.

Getting back to the song...

It was a gentle reminder for me to go back to my real self, to my identity and my mission in this life.

With divine providence, make a choice.
Either you gonna leave or live the moment.
Leave those bad moments behind. They were there as part of your journey.
Live the good ones and cherish them.
They are there to give colors and guidance as you journey on.

Listen to the Sound of Silence

There was silence...

They stood, face to face, locked in each others' eyes,
both trying to hide the pain inside...
no words could come out from her luscious lips,
only the sound of their heartbeat is being heard.

Then, a single teardrop has  fall from her eye,
a sign for him to leave the girl with a sigh;
He walked away, grateful that everything has ended,
but why can't he carry off his feet and make a single step away from that place?

He turned around to glance the girl once more,
but it was too late, coz  she's already gone..

And for the first time in his life,
he let all the tears come out from his eyes;
in the silence of his heart,
he felt the struck of pain.. his own pain?
no, not for his pain...
but for the girl he loves,
the girl whom he couldn’t give his heart <3

what the man didn't know is:
The girl hides herself behind the bush
to hide away her sorrow and anguish;
afraid that the man could see her,
and pity for her of her foolishness ...
In a word of silence, they let their pain speak!

I wish my tears will medicate me.. but how?
In the silence of my heart,
I wish I would know how...")

Have you seen your map already?

"THE HEART"

"It is buried deep within your soul.  It is the hidden treasure planted inside you, in your consciousness, in your entire being.

The "TREASURE MAP" is in your hands...

Use your heart anywhere you go. The heart knows everything.  It will direct your path. It  serves as your guide, especially when your life voyage  has too many crossroads.

It is only YOU who can answer this...

Sometimes, we feel that we have arrived.  Life is full of great things, wonderful moments, and we see no reason to question what's around the corner. At other times, we hold a tiny hope for what the next step may bring, or where our steps may lead us. Most of the time, we are  somewhere at the middle.

"In all the humps, the stop and starts of life, one thing certain. The choices we make along the way greatly affect the journey's outcome". Use the heart, the map, the treasure map, in making path choices.. surely, you will have a meaningful, fruitful and enjoyable travel no matter how heavy your  baggages are.

If Tomorrow Comes

A lot of times in my life, I experience loneliness
I cry for no reason but empty feelings
Times when I can't feel someone's presence
I have nothing but yearning,
I searched myself within, asking why,
..is there tomorrow again?

Life's journey is a struggle,
A battle to achieve something worthwhile...
One day you're high with happiness, the next day you're down..so down that all you do is cry!
why? why it has to be this way?
.. what does tomorrow looks like?

Sometimes I just want to give up.
But then...
I begin to imagine if I didn't have these days of sadness,
then I wouldn't be able to appreciate happiness!
I believe that every journey has its end
after this night there is morning..
If tomorrow comes... I can be happy again!

It is during these moment of  sadness of the soul that I cry out his name..
that I seek him out with desperation.
If I wouldn't have these kind of days,
do you think I would seek him as much?
and if I wouldn't seek him, should I realize the value of myself?

There must be a reason from all this pain...
like there is sunshine after the rain
His absence is the greatest lesson..
to go on journeying alone..
so that someday, when I  get stumble
I can learn to move on!

I need to decide better today,
so that if tomorrow comes..
I won't buy back yesterday!

Show your Best Smile in the Rain

Loving the right person at the wrong time...
or having the wrong person when the time is right...

...means LETTING GO!
(even if you still want to hold on)

You're in love with someone, only to find out that you can never be together 'till the end.
You spent your lifetime loving someone, missing him/her so badly,  putting the person at the pedestal and yet, that person walks out of your life easily. Then, in order to console yourself, you gonna say: "Everything has a reason."

You can do nothing but cry to release the pain inside... the pain of losing.

With bloody heart, you still manage to smile..
a goodbye smile!
Staring at the person you love with smiling lips,
a crying heart, a bleeding soul reflects in your eyes!

You love the person...
yes, you love the person!
You wanted to stay forever but it can't be.

You need to be okay... you must be okay!
and let the world see that everything is fine!
That all is well (as you usually post on your facebook status)
wear a smile... even a painful one.
After all, wearing a smile is easy than explaining why you are sad. So give your best smile even if behind it is an aching soul.
A smile is easy to form just to hide the pain. You start playing the art of "pretending", pretend that all is sunny day even if it rains.

You can do it, yes you can...
Try to hide the dark clouds through your smile;
and when the rain of tears start to fall from your eyes,
turn your head, back away and run... run as fast as you could,
in a corner of no place, and there you shout out loud with no voice,
praying for the rain to wash away the pain in your soul.

You let the person go...
but the memories remains with you.
It may tear your heart apart,
but it strengthen your soul and  teach you how and where to start!

Walk on, yes walk on...
start to pick up the broken pieces of you as you journey on!
congratulate yourself for love was  with you, and is always in you.
It is better to love, then lost that love than never to love at all!

Start to understand that most relationships tend to fail not because of the absence of love, but because love is always present. It's just that one was being loved too much, and the other was being loved too little. Most often, we fall in love with the person we think we love, but to only discover that for them we are just for past times. While the one who truly loves us remains either our friend or a stranger.

Life is ironic ...
Ironic in the sense that in spite of the fact that love strives in hurting, you  still risk for Love.
You console yourself by sticking the belief that if you don't get hurt, then you won't learn how to love. You even find beauty in it.  the  beauty of loving despite of pain. You console yourself by telling: "Love doesn't hurt all the time"; though the hurting is there to test you, to help you grow.

Love is a painful risk.

To love means that risk must be taken,
no matter how scary or painful,
for only then  will you experience
 the fullness of humanity
of what we call LOVE.

If you're not ready to cry, if you're not ready to take the risk , and if you're not ready to feel the pain, then you're not ready to fall in love. It takes an individual to have the courage.

Start to appreciate the rain...
from the heavy clouds of pain.
Someday, you gonna be okay, yes you gonna be okay;
and let that SOMEDAY  BE TODAY!
